Rhonda Smith

Rhonda J. Smith has lived in Keedysville, Maryland for over 40 years. She came to this area from Kentucky and Texas where she earned a BFA in painting at Eastern Kentucky University, Richmond, KY and her MFA in printmaking from the University of North Texas, Denton TX. Smith taught painting, drawing, printmaking, African art, professional practices, and art appreciation at Shepherd University for 31 years before retiring in 2018. Smith chaperoned student tours to Europe, China, Africa, and New York. Her travels have been a focus of her art and continue to inspire her interest in seeing and thinking about the world we live in.
Ms. Smith currently exhibits monthly at TAG/The Artists Gallery, Frederick, MD and has exhibited in local and national venues throughout her career.
